Gearbox Rebuild Price List
All prices are for labor only except where certain parts are noted.
 
Gearbox Strip Down and Inspection - $250
This involves a full strip down of the gearbox, inspection of all parts and a written report of the unit along with recommendations, if any.
 
Rebuild of Bearing Carrier - $225
This involves a complete strip down of the bearing carrier, modifications to the selector finger and shift rods to speed up the diagonal shifts, new springs and balls in all detents which are then set to ensure fast but positive shifts, and checking of the fork positions which will be re-shimmed if necessary.
 
Full W.R.D Rebuild - $850
Flat rate for all transaxles, this includes all of the above as well as a complete check of the pinion and backlash setting, and compete rebuild of the differential.
 
Ring and Pinion Fitting - $500
This service involves setting the pinion, checking the backlash and preload and re-shimming of the forks to suit the new pinion setting.
 
Salisbury Differential Modification - Staffs $550 Hewland Powerflow $750
This involves stripping the differential, re-machining some components and re-shimming the clutch packs to give better performance on the racetrack, this modification will remove all of the transient behavior normally associated with the Salisbury type diff and give the driver more feel through the corner from braking until acceleration. This feel will allow you to make more use of the ramps in the diff and as a result will drop your lap times. Keith Lively, Leo Sismani and David Wilcox are currently using this modification in National FA events
